I often get a swelling eyelid. This time the size forced me to see an eye doc.

Landed in ADK who boasts for their “speedy service”. Yes, I bored in a queue of four patients for an hour.

The doc reminded me of Alice the bot. She was like a programmed android who threw a million questions at me in few seconds.

Here are some questions (and questions) and answers.

DOC: Your swelling is because you don’t drop tears often.

ME: Do I have to cry to keep my eyes healthy?

DOC: No, you need to keep your eyes wet, your “tears evaporate” when you don’t blink regularly. (Is it me, or does anybody actually blinks with a schedule.)

ME: How do I know when its time for a blink?

DOC: You need to keep that in mind that your eyes will get dry when you work too long with computers. (I knew this is going nowhere. I need to find the exit)

ME: Ok doc, what are the precautions for future swellings?

DOC:

1. You need to work less with computers. (Quit my job / stop gaming?)
2. Attach a filter on your monitor. (Filter on LCDs, where can I get one? Btw this is 2006)
3. Always wear sunglasses. (Ray Charles, Steve Wonder, and Me?)
4. Give your eyes frequent rests. (wtf)

Yes, I know,the questions were from me. I went home with three tubes of eye ointment, two painkillers (for what?) and some antibiotics.

Verdict: Regular weeping keeps your eyes healthy

I am a loyal servant of your family, I have been a very close friend of both your ancestors. I am writing to you over my worries towards your nephew whom I am trying to adopt and for the fact that I am hearing very unpleasant news about one of your organ donors; being unethical.

Unlike your forefather (ps2), your nephew seems to follow a very strict diet. A sack of blocks seems to be one of the few toys he likes. He is as lazy as somebody can be. He has to be fed in every five hours. Never bothered to be taught anything he doesn’t know. He has this bad habit of demanding more riches when his chores have been questioned. Anyway I think I am going to keep him with me for a while. I will keep him with me until I sort my cards for the hostage rescue.

I saw in news today that one of your donors is helping your greatest enemy, with much healthier organs than you’ve been supplied. Yes, I am talking about nVidia. The company who promised for the best GPU (Gohoru Pumping Unit) in the world. As you are getting ready for your incarnation, They also promised your vital enemy Mr.Dell that they will be supplied with a higher GPU than yours.

Since the whole planet is waiting for your coming, I am really concerned about what nVidia might develop with MrDell. Last year they announced that your Gohoru will be as equivalent of 2x2 SLI 6800Us. They have just promised that MrDell will be provided with 2x2 Quad SLI 7800U Gohorus with a capacity of 2GBs.

Both you and Dell’s cronies will arrive in spring, and I am worried that you might not deliver a surprise with you (as you promised).

Anyway you are still on top of my wishlist, and I promise you I will be faithful forever.

I am still keeping that promise of NOT having fun with a PC or any other console-family.
